2011 SAG AWARDS BEST DRESSED
Alright, I had difficulties with this post. I watched the SAG’s the other night and not only was the show boring (Snooooooze) but the Fashion I have to say was rather lack-luster. Even the list I have compiled doesn’t excite me the way that the Globes fashion did. I think the Globes Fashion really brought it on and the SAG’s were a little on Xanex. It was sort of sad. I found that the trends on the Red Carpet were ALL OVER THE PLACE. The Globes at least had some consistency and fun colors and GOOD modern minimalism. SAG’s were just lack luster. BUT, with that said, I did find some looks that I did like a lot. Not completely LOVED, but, hey, what can you do?
THE GENTS
1. Chris Colfer- Dior Homme
Chris. Dior Homme. Enough said. He looks so handsome and comfortable and god damn does Dior make a good suit!
2. Andrew Garfield- Burberry
I LOVE that he wore blue! He is so handsome and cool in this look. I think A. Garf is going to be a huge star and I like his take on fashion both on and off the Red Carpet.
3. Jon Hamm- Tom Ford
I don’t even need to say anything.
4. Jesse Tyler Furguson- ?
He is having fun here. Again, I love the Ginger’s. I really love that he is mixing patterns and look how happy he looks! Prob because he came with his boyfriend; they are an adorable couple. It’s all good.
5. Justin Timerlake- Simon Spurr
JT looks fly. I LOVE Simon Spurr and I am glad he wore a look from his collection. Shouldn’t he be wearing William Rast though? Whatever. I love the simplicity of the tie. It is so chic and the lapel is really cool.

THE LADIES
1. Lea Michele- Oscar de la Renta
I was THRILLED when I saw Lea in this dress. This was my favorite look from this particular collection and her body looks rockin’ in it. I think she was one of the only ones who brought real glamour and youth (her hair? PERFECT) to the SAG’s. This look to me is simple and flawless. LOVE.
2. Tina Fey- Oscar de la Renta
Who knew Oscar would end up getting my top two!?! When I saw Tina Fey in this dress I actually said out loud, “Holy Shit.” I couldn’t believe how good she looked. I feel lately she knows she isn’t going to win because as amazing as “30 Rock” and she are, their whole streak (with the exception of Alec Baldwin) in the Awards is a bit on snooze right now and she hasn’t been dressing up that much. BUT THEN SHE SHOWS UP IN THIS. Thank you for the drama on the carpet Tina, thank you. We love you for this.
3. Mila Kunis- Alexander McQueen
GORGEOUS. Again, a great dramatic chic and modern look. Mila is just gorgeous. Let’s face it. This dress is gorgeous. She is rocking the shit out of it. I mean, we have seen variations of this dress as of late but I like the interpretation here. Love that it is belted. She looks fab. SO good.
4. Jayma Mays- Jenny Peckham
I love me a Ginger. This is no secret. I also love me some peach and love me some slit on a gown. SO, it’s all adding up for me here. I love Jayma; she is so damn cute and good on “Glee” and she really brought it on for the Red Carpet. I liked her Globes look a lot too but prefer this one. I think it suits her better. Tall drink of water!
5. Natalie Portman- Azzaro
Mama’s still looking great! I think this is the best Maternity Red Carpet look Natalie Portman has given us. I prefer it a lot to her Globes Viktor & Rolf look. As gorgeous as she looked there, there was SOMETHING off. Maybe it was the necklace or matchy- matchy red accessories she had. But this? Atherial. Gorgeous. Simple. Chic. THANK YOU NATALIE!
6. Nicole Kidman- Nina Ricci
I LOVE Nicole Kidman. I love a good black column gown and she is giving us chic beyond chic here. And that necklace? I love it. Nicole is one of the few who knows how to do bows without overkill. She looks so delish and sexy here. It’s very subtle and I love it.
7. Julianna Margulies- YSL
HELLO REDEMPTION! I think Julianna is so gorgeous and her body is sick nasty good. BUT, her Vintage YSL at the Globes was horrible. I’m sorry. It was a disaster. SO, showing up in this scarlet YSL flowy gown and a gorgeous husband (her acceptance speech was so cute I teared up, come on!)? Back in the light Julianna! Thank you for a gorgeous look!
8. Hailee Steinfeld- PRADA
REFRESHING! COLOR! STRIPES! FUN! This girl is so damn good in “True Grit” and has been looking great on the Red Carpet. She continued this at the SAG’s. She looks SO SO SO good! She has a model body and height so she is rocking the shit out of this PRADA dress. I was SO happy when I saw her.
9. Diana Agron- Vintage Chanel
This is almost a perfect look. I have been liking Diana more and more as award season has been going on and this midnight blue Vintage Chanel tea length dress is to die. She looks sexy and the vintage/ modern this she is working is totally good. BUT, her hair and especially make-up is killing me. It just isn’t meshing with her look. BUT, she still looks great. Loving the tranny take on the simple shoe. It’s really good.
10. Julie Bowen- Catherine Malandrino
Refreshing again! Julie Bowen’s Catherine Malandrino jumpsuit is sort of amazing. She looks chic and sexy and everything good. Very interesting choice to wear a look with pants and get away with it. It’s simple and the jeweled accessories are absolutely working for her. Thank you!
Just because it is Tuesday and “White Collar” is on. SWOON
Funny. But Leighton, it isn’t funny enough to make me see “The Roommate.” Sorray.
I had to shout out John Hamm’s Tom Ford look at the Critics Choice the other night. It was my favorite look on a man. He looks fantastic.
BEST DRESSED MEN 2011 GOLDEN GLOBES
1. Jake Gyllenhaal- Burberry
Jake+Burberry= PERFECTION. Jake always looks good in a suit. I love the facial hair. He is making the look classic but with a modern edge. SO good. LOVING the suit. LOVE.
2. Chris Colfer-Dior Homme
This might be because I want a Dior suit (the cut of them would be perfect for me) but I LOVE Chris Colfer in this Dior. Dior Homme never gets it wrong and clearly neither does Chris.
3. Matt Bomer- Tom Ford
Tom Ford knows how to make an amazing suit make an amazing looking guy look even more amazing. Thats a lot of amazing isn’t it? SO good. GREAT look. Very classic.
4. Kevin McHale- D&G
THIS is how you have fun on the red carpet as a man! I love it. He looks awesome. SO good.
5. Ryan Gosling- Ferragamo
DAMN. Gorgeous suit. Gorgeous cut. Velvet on 80 degree day. He should actually go strait to number one just for that alone! I love this look SO much.
6. Ryan Kwanten- Hugo Boss
I am loving the splash of color of his bow tie. He looks happy and like he is digging his look. Which is should because it’s great.
7. Zac Efron- Calvin Klein
Again, Z. Efron+CK= Perfection. Nuff said.
8. Jon Hamm- Tom Ford
Jon Hamm looks awesome. As does his lady. I LOVE the color and cut of this suit. He looks handsome and happy. Bravo sir!
9. RDJ- Prada
Oh RDJ how we love you so. I love his take on fashion. I loved his Lanvin Homme look at the Oscars (right?) regardless of what everyone said. I love that he wore a gray suit!
10. Andrew Garfield- Armani
Sleek. Polished. Lean. Clean. LOVE him in this look.
Lea in Oscar de la Renta was AMAZING. I just needed to mention it.
